Welcome to Aldabra Academy, a globally accessible, asynchronous K–12 online micro-school where students learn at their own pace through a rich, inquiry-driven curriculum. Rooted in the principles of exploration, mastery, and connection, our model blends academic rigor with flexibility. While aligned with Alberta and BC educational standards, our courses are designed for learners worldwide and integrate global perspectives. Every grade includes a complete program in Numeracy, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. Optional weekly live meetups provide joyful connection, collaborative exploration, and opportunities to grow together as a global learning community.

Why Aldabra Academy?
Aldabra Academy is named after the Aldabra Atoll—a remote coral island in the Indian Ocean, long recognized as one of the most ecologically undisturbed places on Earth. Once seen as nearly inaccessible, Aldabra became a symbol of what’s possible when life is given the space and protection it needs to flourish.
Though the world has changed and so too has Aldabra, the ideal it represented remains powerful: a place set apart, safeguarded from outside pressures, where growth happens naturally, quietly, and with resilience.
Aldabra Academy is built on that same vision.
We offer a calm, focused environment for learning—intentionally designed to be free from the noise and pressures of conventional education models. Here, students are supported to explore deeply, think independently, and grow at a pace that’s right for them.
This is not a retreat from the world, but a thoughtful space within it—a protected place for curiosity, clarity, and meaningful discovery.
